WRAIG’s Regional Anaesthesia Course/ Scanning Workshop

  • The course is suitable for both novice users and those with some experience of ultrasound guided nerve blocks and is recommended to all grades of Anaesthetists as well  as Accident & Emergency Doctors and FY doctors

  • There will be course lecutres covering 'Theory of Ultrasound and essential Sono Anatomy followed by a scanning workshop on live models. The workshops will consist of small groups and this will allow the candidates plenty of hands on scanning experience.

  • Candidates can improve their needling techniques using realistic needling phantoms

  • At the end of the course, candidates should be confident in scanning and locating the various nerves as well as needling handling

  • The course faculty consist of expereinced anaesthetists who are experts in the field of Regional Anaesthesia.
