WRAIG Was founded in 2014
We are a group of Anaesthetists with a special interest in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia.
The aim of WRAIG is to promote and encourage teaching, education and research, consolidate and learn new techniques and to keep abreast with the latest and changing technology in the field of Regional Anaesthesia
Our core comittee consists of Consultant Anaesthetists and Specialist Doctors with an extensive experience in the field of Regional Anaesthesia, who are constantly dedicated to teaching, training and research in the field. Everyone with an interest in the field of Regional anaesthesia are welcome to become members of our group and attend our meetings.

Wrightington Hospital is an Orthopaedic Centre of Excellence and is a part of the Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS foundation Trust.
Wrightington Hospital's status as a Centre of Excellence (Orthopaedic Surgery) in the treatment of musculo-skeletal disease has its origins in the seminal work of Professor Sir John Charnley, who pioneered hip replacement surgery.
The first ever Hip replacement operations in the world were performed in Wrightington Hospital in the 1960s.
